Description: An overhaul mod that rebalances and greatly improves the visuals of vanilla mechs, and also adds 7 new ones to your arsenal.

Changelog: It doesn't really get much higher quality than this.

Upgrade speed is still 33.3s, but both the T2 and T3 upgrades cost $2000 each.

Hopefully this will make mid-game a bit more interesting with $2000 extra
credits to spend after upgrading, but with a limited arsenal.


WARNING:

This change will most likely break mod compatibility.
The T2 mech factory is no longer overridden by the custom one, which is now called "mechFactoryT2c".
The T3 factory is called "mechFactoryT3".
Change your canBuild and builtFrom lines to reflect this!

-ALL MECHS:

Slight recoil adjustments

New death effects - Bigger explosions and the husks fly out along with turrets/other parts

-BASIC/AA/LIGHT MINIGUN MECHS:

-LIGHT MINIGUN MECH:

+Damage per bullet increased to 5 (was 4)

REASON:

Just a slight buff to make it more useful.

+Now buffed whenever in range of an Assault Mech:

All mechs:

+Light self-repair
+Team colored particle effect


Basic Mech:

+Attack speed increases to 0.50s (instead of 1.08s)


Anti-Air Mech:

+Attack speed increases to 1.37s (instead of 2.20s)
+Damage increases to 10 (instead of 5)


Light Minigun Mech:

+Damage per bullet increased to 5 (was 4)

REASON:

This ties in with the assault mech nerf to make it more of a "carrier" type unit.
Makes smaller mechs more cost-effective during late game as well.

-ARTILLERY MECH:

+Damage vs. structures increased to 145 (was 100)

-Damage vs. units reduced to 85 (was 100)

Shells now have an arc

REASON: 

Artillery mechs seemed a bit underused, and making them better against structures just makes sense.
T1 turrets get destroyed in 6 shots instead of 8, and T2 turrets in 9 (sometimes 8) instead of 12.

-MECH ENGINEER:

+Can now build light minigun mechs

-Build speed reduced to 27.8s (was 20.8s)

Redesigned sprite, plus recoil improvements

REASON:

Its appearance was changed to match other mechs, and build speed reduced to match other T2 mechs.

-MINIGUN MECH:

+Shield HP increased to 900 (was 800)

-HP decreased to 700 (was 800)

REASON:

Although it still has the same total HP, increasing the power of its shield makes it more attractive in a lot of situations...
...but leaves it more vulnerable to lightning units. 
Mammoth tanks and tesla mechs now need one less shot to kill it in a 1v1 situation. Amphibious jets were already a hard counter, but are even more dangerous now.

-HEAVY MECH:

Improved shell trail and explosion effects

-TESLA MECH:

+Movement speed increased to 0.6 (was 0.5)
+Can attack air again

REASON:

Tesla mechs were a bit weak mainly because they lacked the speed the mammoth tank has to get up close and personal.
This means they can keep up with other 0.6 movespeed mechs!
I also felt like their air attack was a pretty major part of their role and set them apart from mammoth tanks, so I decided against removing it.

-ROCKET MECH:

+Build speed increased to 27.8s (was 33.3s)

Small sprite adjustments
Grenades now have an arc, and explosion FX improved (I bet you'll love them, but your device might not)

REASON: 

Looks cooler. Explosions are always cool!
Build speed now matches other T2 mechs.

-PLASMA MECH:

+Damage per shot increased to 125 (was 120) - Damage vs. buildings is still 65
+Turret turn speed increased to 3 (was 2.8)
+Turret turn speed acceleration increased to 0.12 (was 0.09)

-Burst fire delay increased to 20 (was 10)


REASON:

The extra damage per volley makes it possible to kill more units in a single burst, although not as quickly as before.
Faster turning speed also makes it easier to track fast moving enemies, like tanks and interceptors.

-HEAVY MOBILE TURRET:

+Cannon range increased to 290 (was 280)
+AA missile range increased to 340 (was 310)

Minor leg adjustments

REASON:

The cannon range stops artillery from being able to snipe heavy mobile turrets so easily, and the anti-air range makes them harder to avoid with air units.
Gives heavy arty mechs a new use as well, since they can outrange them unlike other artillery units.

-HEAVY ARTILLERY MECH:

+Range increased to 420 (was 390)
+Sight range while undeployed/deployed increased to 23/28 (was 20/26)
+Movement speed increased to 0.6 (was 0.5)

-Damage vs. units reduced to 125 (was 150) - Damage vs. structures unchanged

Fixed a bug where the unit couldn't target enemies while undeployed (sorry about that!)
Shells now have an arc and a nicer looking trail, with bigger explosion effects.

REASON:

The extra range and speed helps heavy artillery mechs be a lot less clunky, as they can now keep up with other mechs and keep their distance more effectively.
However, I nerfed their effectiveness vs. units to emphasize their role as building destroyers. They're still good at area denial though, since they have excellent burst damage.

-FLAME MECH:

Firestorm shell no longer dissapears when shot at liquid - can only fire at land now

Improved flamethrower effects

REASON:

The shell sink effect was cool but there was always the possibility of wasting it accidentally. Besides the clunky "OVER_CLIFF" message, this is a better solution.

-ASSAULT MECH:

+Can now build small mechs (basic/aa/light mg) at 2x speed (4.9s)
+Buffs nearby small mechs (see above for details)
+Range increased to 265 (was 250)

-Laser cannon damage reduced to 500 (was 600) - Direct 300, area 200

Improved laser and missile explosion effects

REASON:

They now have a bit less burst damage, but can act as factories for self-defense against air units or to make cannon fodder.
